   Promote A Healthy Lawn

This should be done twice a year once in the spring and fall when the soil temperature is cool and not under heat stress. This process will take plugs out of the lawn that are about 3” in length. The plugs will decompose within a week or two and leave the lawn looking like new again. The normal mowing schedule will continue and the plugs will get mowed up into small pieces.

What Does Aerating Do?

Aerating will increase the activity of soil microorganisms that decompose thatch, While increasing the water, nutrient and oxygen movement into the soil.

It also will improve rooting and enhance infiltration of rainfall or irrigation.
